Salvation Army Australia, an international Christian movement, is a Christian organization that brings hope to those who need it most. Our work is felt across Australia, in rural and urban communities as well as cities. We are involved in national issues and also bring hope to those who may be suffering hardship or injustice.
We have been expressing our belief in the charitable work since our founding in London in the nineteenth century. Our goal is to support both the spiritual as well as the social needs. With one hand, we believe we can reach out to God while with the other, we can reach out to the rest of the world.
We can speak and preach about justice, compassion and other issues to support the welfare of those around us. We see them as an entire person, body, mind, and spirit.
