Since over 40 years Novaskill has helped locals reach their potential by providing quality training, employment, and community services. We want to enrich people’s lives so that each of our employees is able to make a greater impact on their families and communities.
Our organisation, which is governed by a volunteer board of directors was established in response to the severe economic recession experienced in the Hunter Region in the early 1980s. Hunter Group Training (later Hunter Group Apprentice) was created to allow local young apprentices to continue their trade training, even if they didn’t have a regular job. The group was invited to work with local employers, and they received continuous training. When the economy improved, this group could continue their career and have a successful career.
We are proud to offer thousands of trainees and apprentices the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career.
Novaskill was registered as a training organisation in 1995 and began to train students across a wide range of Vocational Education and Training. As a nationally accredited training organisation, Novaskill is proud to be able meet the needs of any enterprise.
Novaskill is well-known for its long history of working with communities to identify, develop and implement improvements in community infrastructure. We are also proud of our commitment towards indigenous communities, youth and long term job seekers.
