Nick Jankovic, B.Eng. MIE Aust. began his career in structural engineering at the Institute for Earthquake Engineering (IEE) of former Yugoslavia. This region is known for its strong seismic activity.

Nicks primary area of interest was earthquake-safe design of high-rise buildings for commercial and residential use, industrial buildings and roads. After a decade of earthquake engineering, Nick moved to Germany, where he worked as a structural designer, site supervisor, and quantity surveyor for seven years. He still preferred high-rise buildings, hospitals and commercial buildings.

He moved to Australia in 1997 and was accepted as a structural college member of the “Institution of Engineers Australia”. Since 1997, he has focused on residential houses. He has completed various stages of documentation for hundreds of residential homes (working drawings, structural design). Private investors, owner-builders or professional builders have been clients. Coffs Harbour was the company’s first location. The company moved into new premises in 2003 at 42 Moonee Street where it is still located.
