Dr Fergusson is a Visiting Medical Officer, providing ophthalmic surgeries to patients who are public, self-funding, or covered by health funds at Macksville Hospitals, Coffs Harbour Health Campuses, Bellinger River District Hospitals, Grafton Hospitals, and Baringa Private Hospitals. Since 2004, he has been on the call list for all public hospitals in the region, from Eungai, to Iluka and Coffs Harbour, to Dorrigo.
He has worked in ophthalmology for 25 years, including Bristol, Shrewsbury, Northern Territory Australia, and remote aboriginal communities. He has also done ophthalmic work at Sydney, Melbourne, Wollongong, Maitland, and Tamworth.
